This homemade conditioner is a PERSONAL fave of mine, and I swear by it! It’s cheap, and HIGHLY effective!! The ingredients are simple..
1. 2 RIPE avocados
2. 2 tablespoons of honey
3. Extra Virgin Olive Oil OR coconut oil
Combine all ingredients, slather onto your wet kinky curly hair mop of love, and let it marinate for 30mins to an hour.. Be sure to use a plastic cap so that these ingredients are allowed to “do what it do!”
Below I will tell you what each ingredient does in regards to the hair..
It’s a well known fact that, olive oil can be a fantastic conditioner for hair but there are many other things about this essential oil that make it a great go-to for hair care. Olive oil is one of the top emollients that is known to penetrate the hair better than others. That doesn’t just mean that it nourishes and conditions. An olive oil treatment can improve the elasticity and strength of your hair far better than other essential oils.
There are other even lesser known facts about olive oil. For instance, olive oil is not just an average emollient. It contains anti-inflammatory properties that promote scalp health and prevent dandruff. What’s more, olive oil is not likely to cause an allergic reaction, which makes it easier on sensitive skin and hair.

For those of us who haven’t been blessed with thick, amazing locks of hair, the question of how to make your hair grow faster naturally is quite important. A thick, glorious mane of hair has always been a crowning asset to both men and women throughout the ages. If that wasn’t the case, there would be no need for beauticians and hair salons, not to mention the thousands of brands of hair care products that promise a healthy, envious head of beautiful hair.
So what can you do to make your hair grow faster naturally? And, what are easy tips to make your hair grow faster?
First of all, did you realize that your hair grows about 1/4 to 1/2 inch per month? What determines how fast your hair grows? Your parents. How fast your hair grows has already been pre-determined for you, so there is nothing you can do about this. Sorry. But, does this mean that you are doomed to a life of short, unhealthy hair? Thankfully, no. By changing some of your everyday habits, you can see a significant improvement in your hair’s length and health. What are some of these habits?
1. YOUR HAIR’S CONDITION REFLECTS WHAT IS GOING ON INSIDE.
Certain medications, some illnesses (anemia), changes in hormone levels, stress, and even different times of the year can affect the condition of your hair. Some of these cannot be helped, but if you are smoking or overly stressed, this is a good time to fix the situation. Seek help if needed so that your body can operate at its best capacity.
It also acts as a humectant by pulling water out of the air, so the use of honey on the hair and scalp has seen marvelous results in helping the hair to become glowing and healthy.

Nourishing Hair With Avocado
What exactly does this creamy, green fruit contain to boost hair health? It is an excellent source of vitamin C, which is great for hair follicles, supporting healthy circulation to the scalp and collagen production. It contains vitamins B5 and B6, which may prevent hair loss. Avocados also contain vitamin E, an antioxidant that protects cells and may encourage healthy growth.
Add sliced avocado to salads to help the body absorb the antioxidants from green leafy vegetables. Try creamy avocado spread on a bagel instead of cream cheese or use it in place of mayonnaise to create a hair-healthy tuna salad. The vitamin C in the avocado will help the body absorb the iron from the tuna. I may not eat an avocado every day, but I enjoy a serving several times a week in order to get those nutrients for healthy, beautiful hair.
Avocado and Coconut Oil Hair Mask
Do you want to know how to make hair grow beautifully without eating avocado? Use it in a conditioning hair mask. I like to combine avocado with coconut oil, another great source of vitamin E. The two together help to nourish the scalp and soften hair. My hair always feels stronger after using this treatment.
To make a mask, mash one-half of a ripe avocado. Mix it with three tablespoons of room temperature coconut oil. I also add two drops of rosemary essential oil. Apply to damp hair. Wrap a towel around your head and let the mask do its work for half an hour. Rinse and shampoo as normal. Try this hair treatment once a week and enjoy this delicious fruit for healthy, gorgeous hair. Once again my natural beauties, it’s been REAL!!
