Crochet braids done with marley hair.. Took me 2.5hrs to do. And 3 packs of Bobbi Boss Marley hair.
Every Thursday I will post a “Feel Good” type of song, from my fave artists! Today we have Zo hailing from DETROIT, MI who’s in the group ‘Foreign Exchange” as well! This here is “Count To Five” from Zo’s album “Man Made” the video has nothing to do with the song, it’s just some nice imagery! Simply loves the KIDS! enjoy my coily, curly lovelies!
The picture above is me rocking one of my FAVORITE wigs!! I have been wearing her since 2009. And with the particular style, it only gets better with time. It starts off somewhat silky, but after week 3 it becomes more full, and kinky in texture! LOVE IT!!! For years I have been wearing this style in a 1B.. So this past weekend, I asked if they had my girl in any other color schemes.. and “bet cha by golly wow!!!” THEY DID!!!! When I tell you I was up in the beauty supply store hitting the DOUGIE! I ain’t lying!! LOL!!!! This is an AWESOME protective style. I will literally not touch my hair for 2 months, while wearing this. The care of my actual hair underneath wig is simple. I would co wash my hair (while in braids) apply the LOC method and let it air dry. Once this is complete, then the wig goes back on my head. Length retention is no question while rocking this. The front of my head is done in loose flat twist, to protect my edges.. I have lost them before, when I was an avid braid wearer. I am NOT trying to lose my edges again! LOL! Tammy is only $19.99, and for those who are afraid to color their tresses (Raises hand, I) This is a great alternative for you! I am REALLY feeling this hair color on me, and LAAAWWDDDDD knows I wanna spice up my natural hair, but I’m afraid it will break off, with a permanent color.. So maybe I’ll look for a semi permanent color that resembles… Hmmm I don’t know.. But yes ladies, I just wanted to share my “HOLY GRAIL” of wigs with you all!! There is one other follower of mine who I believe wears the same style and it’s also her holy grail wig as well!! Great minds think alike!!! I love you all and HAPPY GROWING! MUAHHH!!!
Hello my lovelies! This is a method I’ve been using for years in regards to my 4B/4C hair! I will go out on the limb and say this is partly why my hair is able to retain length. ENJOY! EDUCATE yourself! And HAPPY GROWING!
Bare with me, I was at work! LOL! Okay, so I decided to upload a video from my phone to my Youtube page and this was the end result! LOL! I do not have fancy editing software, etc.. I simply did not feel like typing too much on my blog today, so I do what I do best… TALK! LOL! The oil mix that’s mentioned is simply a concoction I came up with that consists of peppermint oil, Jamaican Blk castor oil, and coconut oil. 🙂 I call it my “JuJu mix” don’t ask me why it’s named that! My head looks really huge on this damn video, but it is what it is.
Good afternoon my lovelies!!! Today’s post will be a FUN ONE! A poll if you may will.. I know you’re a bit confused by the title and may be thinking “Aren’t all straight black men usually possess Natural Hair” and the answer would be “YES!” However, I mean it more along the lines as rocking locs, twist and braid outs, etc, you know how my homie Dwele rocks his hair! LOL! What do you guys prefer?? AAAANNNNNDDDDD GO!!!!!!!!
I started to make a vid on youtube about this, but I am VERY new to that and I don’t have a video editor program yet.. HOWEVER! My girl Jouelzy on Youtube had my EXACT regime! Here it is ladies! This is how I maintain length retention. For my water and oil mixture I use JAMAICAN BLK castor oil and water. The conditioner I use is “The Mane Choice” I have a 4a/4b texture however it works the same for my hair and yours! Happy growing my lovelies! Any questions on products I use PLEASE FEEL FREE to comment or email me!
